After his first love of wife and family, Gage will be remembered as a builder, innovator and inspiration. He will always be considered a rock, a man whose ambition, charm and personal influence were a source of strength for all those fortunate enough to call him "Chief."
In Loving Memory ... Gage B. Behunin
GAGE BEHUNIN lived a wonderful life full of interesting facts that we would like to share with all of you in the Sequoia family. Gage Behunin began as the youngest masonry journeyman in Utah in the 1950s. Along with it came a legacy of commercial construction and residential development. That legacy has continued within the Behunin-family through three sons-as construction and building assignments spread throughout the United States.
Settling in Denver, Colorado, the Behunin name became synonymous with hard work, survival, honesty and mountain west construction. No job was too tough. They thrived from innovation and efficiency models that increased construction productivity and led to a series of construction patents. From high-rised, to mountain tunneling, to improving on specified construction products, the Behunin family found a way to build it faster and better.
Mr. Behunin and family celebrated with long-term corporate housing contracts (during the '70s) when the apartment industry exploded. Likewise, they maintained excellent banking relationships and learned how to survive-and manage property on a shoestring during the "famine" of the '80s.
As a man of much integrity, Gage Behunin will be greatly missed. His memory is sure to continue as an inspiration for everyone to live their own lives to the fullest extent.
Families Are Forever
... Long ago our Father's plan was given to us all; That we should choose to do his will, and someday with Him dwell.
Now on earth the paths we trod are dark and sometimes steep. So if you lose your guiding light, turn to your family.
The time will come when we will meet the ones who've loved us so, wathcing o'er us carefully, waiting as we grow.
Families are forever. It may be hared to see. But for you my family, my wish eternal we may be.
The wish for me, my family, eternity.
